Pre-conference workshop
This hands-on computer
workshop is aimed at novice computer users, focusing
on the skills to use Equation Editor and
spreadsheets in the teaching of mathematics. The
workshop will run from 10:00 to 16:00.

Presentation on some
ideas for using technology in the mathematics
class as well as the use of online collaboration
tools (PC's, cellphones, internet) |

Using Equation
Editor to set tests (Basic skills)
Participants will learn how to format and use MS
Word Equation Editor to set tests. We will also
look at the advantages of using MathType |

Using
spreadsheets
Participants will learn how to use the basic
spreadsheet functions to do a class mark sheet. We
will also use a real life
example to do a scatter graph and line of best
fit. |
