Sci-Bono and the World of Beer

Visit firstly Sci-Bono, the largest science centre in South Africa and then the Beer Museum where you will be shown how beer is brewed, and will receive two free beers at the end.

Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City Casino

Learn about the history of apartheid in South Africa.  You will experience the Road to Freedom and find out how South Africa became the Rainbow Nation.  End up with a visit to the Gold Reef City Casino.

Constitution Hill

This national heritage site has witnessed a century of South Africa’s history: from rebellious British soldiers who fought the Boers at the turn of the century, to the youths caught up in the Soweto Uprising, to the dawn of democracy and the building of South Africa’s new Constitutional Court, Constitution Hill has witnessed it all.  Visit Constitution Court and learn about the injustices of South Africa’s past while observing the process by which freedom was won and is now protected.

Gold Reef City Theme Park and Casino

Go on the adrenaline-boosting rides or visit the restored houses and gold mine.  End up with a visit to the Gold Reef City Casino.

Soweto Tour

This guided tour will cover the Hector Pieterson Memorial, Vilikazi Street, Mandela House and Visitors Centre, the Baragwanath Taxi Rank and Hospital, the colourful Orlando Twin Towers, Maponya Mall and the venue for the opening and closing of the World Cup – the FNB Stadium.

Monday 11 July:           Welcome dinner and entertainment.

Cash bar available.

Cost R125 per person.

 

Tuesday 12 July:          Theatre Night at the Market Theatre in Newtown or the WITS Theatre.

Cost R110 per person, including transport.

 

Wednesday 13 July:     Music Lounge after the Excursions.

R30 entrance fee.  Cash bar available.

 

Thursday 14 July:         Congress Dinner with Cultural Twist.

Dress: Smart Casual or Traditional.
