Java graphing applet. There are a million graph plotters out there, but this is a good one! (Note: enter a function as 2x+3, not y=2x+3) GCalc. An excelleny graphing applet with features such as Zoom. (Note: once the applet is loaded, you can go off-line and still use the grapher!)
The Calculators on-line offers an amazing extensive array of calculators for every context. Primes is an online search tool for prime numbers. Factoris is an online program that can factor any number or algebraic polynomial. Dynamic Systems and Technology Project at Boston University provides several Java applets to use in teaching ideas about chaos and fractals, e.g. the Mandelbrot Explorer. Exchange rate calculator. Converts between any two currencies. Also, there are programs that you can download and use for free. We mention a few. Graphmatica is an excellent graphing program that you can download and use for free. Every mathematics teacher needs such a program to design activities, tests and examinations. Poly is a program for investigating polyhedral shapes. The three-dimensional images may be interactively rotated and folded/unfolded. Math Function Mania is a fun multimedia game that teaches functions, algebra and problem solving skills.
